My name is Sebastian, and since December 2016, I have been the managing director of SSD Consulting & Services GmbH. With a successful degree as a graduate computer scientist from Johann Goethe University in Frankfurt and over twenty years of experience as a consultant in the field of integration for various clients, I bring extensive expertise to our company.

During my studies, I gained hands-on experience as a working student in the IT industry, which allowed me to seamlessly combine theory and practice. This solid education and experience inspired me to take the step into self-employment as an IT consultant in November 2015.

I started working for SSD Consulting & Services GmbH as a career changer at the end of 2018. Since then, I have mainly dealt with operational management tasks in the TIBCO environment and Java development. I have also had the opportunity to immerse myself in other subject areas and thus broaden my understanding.

As an employee at SSD Consulting since 2018, I have the opportunity to work in Human Resources and work closely with the management. My responsibilities include HR management, recruitment, marketing planning, controlling and the role of data protection officer. As a career changer from the medical sector, the new role at SSD Consulting was not only new territory for me professionally, but also technically. Hey, I'm Basti,

I have been part of the SSD Consulting & Services GmbH team since 2017 and have had a very positive experience so far. During my computer science studies at the h_da in Darmstadt, working as a student trainee gave me the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge from my studies directly in practice. Initially, I supervised small projects in VBA programming and built up a solid basic knowledge under supervision. Later, I worked intensively on VBA programming in Microsoft Access and learned a lot from my working student supervisor.

My supervisors have always supported me so that I can now pass on my knowledge to my fellow working students. I am currently working on a larger project that requires Java skills and I am also continuing my training in this area. I really appreciate the support and encouragement from my superiors in the field of IT. As a working student, you are challenged here, but not overwhelmed, and you can adapt your work flexibly to exam periods.

I find the working atmosphere at SSD Consulting extremely positive. As a working student, you get a variety of insights into exciting projects, which is very motivating. My colleagues are nice, helpful and always approachable. You get to know the team even better through joint excursions and events.

I particularly appreciate the fact that I am confronted with real, challenging tasks here and not just assigned to smaller tasks as a working student.

I joined the SSD Consulting team in February 2021 and am responsible for the integration of software solutions in the area of VBA - MS Access and MS Excel for our customers. I originally come from the field of biology, but realized early on that I feel very comfortable in the IT industry. I was already able to gain initial experience in previous IT support jobs.

Since starting at SSD Consulting, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in many different ways. Although I started without any programming knowledge, I was able to learn these skills quickly thanks to the excellent mentoring and support of my experienced colleagues and superiors. The informal working atmosphere, the informal exchanges with colleagues and the joint company events have helped me to develop both professionally and personally. I hope to be part of the SSD team for a long time to come and look forward to the time ahead!

I started working as a C++ developer at SSD Consulting & Services GmbH in 2022. Right from the start, I was given the opportunity to deepen my technical skills and familiarize myself with new subject areas thanks to high-quality training courses.

Hello, I am Kathrin,

in July 2022, I started working for SSD-Consulting as a career changer. My areas of responsibility include project acquisition, IT sales and the planning and organization of team events. I really enjoy these activities.

As a career changer from the medical sector, this new role was a challenge for me both professionally and technically. I really appreciate the fact that I can turn to my superiors at any time with questions and that SSD gives me the opportunity to develop myself further through further training. I have great colleagues and the positive company atmosphere is reflected in our team. Here, we actually live what we are told.

I have been part of the team at SSD since September 2022. After studying Japanese studies, I worked for seven years in the chemicals law department of a Japanese chemical company, where I held the position of deputy head of department twice. Parallel to my work, I began to develop a private interest in IT topics and finally decided to make a lateral entry into the IT industry in 2022.

After successfully deepening my frontend knowledge at the YouGrow Academy Bootcamp in 2022 and acquiring Java backend knowledge, I accepted the offer from SSD. I chose SSD because I perceived my colleagues as honest and solution-oriented right from the start, and this assessment has been confirmed. I also appreciate the respectful interaction within the company, the open communication and the wide range of training opportunities that SSD offers me.

I joined the SSD team as a C++ developer in January 2025. My enthusiasm for software development has been with me for many years and led me into CAD/CAM development at an early stage. After several successful years in this field, I was specifically looking for a new professional challenge—an environment that would value my previous experience while offering me room for further development.

At SSD, I found exactly that. From day one, I had the opportunity to further develop my strengths in C++ and Qt while also expanding my skills in areas such as IT systems and project management. Through practical tasks, targeted training, and open communication within the team, I am able to develop significantly both professionally and personally.
